Kuban's finest journalists and designers honoured at 2025 Golden Pen Awards
The 'Golden Pen of Kuban 2025' awards ceremony took place in Krasnodar on March 20. Held at the House of Journalism, the event celebrated the region's top media professionals. Winners were recognised across 12 different categories covering print, digital, and design work.
The awards highlighted outstanding contributions in Krasnodar Krai's media industry. Among the winners was Yelena Bykovchenko, art director at Kubanskie Novosti, who received the prize for best front-page designs in print media.
Denis Batov, a reporter from the same publication, also took first place. His winning entry was a series exploring Kuban Cossacks reenacting the historic stand of the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen. The judges praised the depth and storytelling of his work.
The ceremony honoured 12 distinct categories, showcasing talent in journalism and design. Winners like Bykovchenko and Batov were recognised for their skill in both visual and written media. Their achievements reflect the high standards of reporting and creativity in Krasnodar Krai.
