Late-night Neukölln brawl leads to arrests after weapons used in clash
A late-night brawl in Neukölln led to multiple arrests after a verbal argument turned violent. Police intervened in Silbersteinstraße, where a baseball bat and pepper spray were used during the confrontation.
Seven people, aged between 14 and 24, were taken into custody following the incident.
Emergency services responded to reports of a physical fight between two groups in the early hours. The clash began as a heated argument before escalating into violence involving improvised weapons.
Officers arriving at the scene found a forearm crutch, a baseball bat, a parking bollard, and a belt among the discarded items. One officer was sprayed with pepper spray, suffering eye and breathing difficulties. After receiving treatment, they later returned to duty. Seven suspects were detained for questioning. The two youngest, aged 14 and 15, were released to their parents or guardians after standard procedures. The remaining four, aged 16 and 20, underwent fingerprinting before further processing. Around 25 others scattered before police could identify them. Investigators from Directorate 5 (City) have since taken charge of the case to gather more details.
The altercation resulted in no serious injuries beyond the officer’s temporary irritation. Authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the clash. Further updates will depend on the ongoing criminal investigation.
