Drunken man attacks police with scissors in Wiesbaden domestic dispute

A domestic dispute in Wiesbaden-Klarenthal turned violent on Thursday evening after a 56-year-old man resisted police intervention. The incident left one officer injured and led to the man’s arrest on multiple charges. The confrontation began at around 8:30 p.m. in an apartment building on Carl-von-Ossietzky-Straße. Police had ordered the man to leave the premises, but he refused. Officers noted that he was heavily intoxicated.

During the struggle, the suspect grabbed a pair of scissors from a hallway dresser drawer. He then kicked at the officers and attempted to bite a female officer. Despite his resistance, police eventually subdued and took him into custody. One officer suffered a minor wrist injury in the scuffle. The injured officer was taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged.

The man now faces charges, including resisting law enforcement. Police confirmed he remains in custody while investigations continue. The injured officer has since returned to duty.
