Lawrence Bishnoi gang's extortion network exposed after key arrest in Madhya Pradesh

Police in Madhya Pradesh have uncovered fresh details about a criminal network linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Manish Jangid, arrested in Ashoknagar, has admitted during questioning to working under instructions from gang members operating both within and outside India. Jangid was taken into custody after threatening Ranjan Mittal, a Nipania resident, over the phone and demanding money. Under interrogation, he revealed his connections to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and named key associates, including Harry Boxer and Ritik Boxer. Authorities believe Harry Boxer is currently based abroad.

Jangid confessed to coordinating with both Boxer brothers via a mobile app while planning to travel to Indore. His arrest has led to at least six FIRs being filed across police stations in Indore, Khargone, Bhopal, and Ashoknagar. Similar threats have also surfaced in Mumbai, where a businessman from Satna district reported extortion attempts. A court has remanded Jangid to police custody for an additional day. Meanwhile, authorities are preparing to issue a lookout circular against Harry Boxer, who faces multiple cases in Madhya Pradesh for his alleged involvement in organised crime.

The investigation continues as police gather more evidence against the gang's network. Jangid's arrest has exposed wider extortion operations, with cases now registered in multiple districts. A lookout notice for Harry Boxer is expected to be issued shortly to prevent his entry into India.
