Legendary Mont-roig restaurant reopens with Eurovision composer's personal touch
A historic restaurant in Mont-roig del Camp–Bahía has reopened under new ownership. Music composer Ralph Siegel and his wife Laura have transformed Mesón Bahía, giving it a fresh look while keeping its Mediterranean roots. The venue quickly became a local favourite during the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The restaurant first welcomed guests again on March 28, 2026, after months of careful renovations. Siegel took a hands-on role in redesigning the space, even adding personal mementos from his long career. These touches give the place a distinctive character.
*Mesón Bahía* serves a mix of traditional Spanish dishes and modern Mediterranean flavours. The menu reflects the region’s culinary heritage while offering contemporary twists. On Sundays, visitors can enjoy a special brunch from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Located about 30 kilometres south of Tarragona, the restaurant sits in a well-connected area. Drivers can reach it via the A-7, AP-7, or N-340 roads. Its accessibility and warm atmosphere have made it a go-to spot for both locals and tourists.
The revamped Mesón Bahía now stands out for its food, design, and personal connection to its owners. Its blend of elegant decor, Mediterranean cuisine, and Ralph Siegel’s unique influence has drawn praise. The restaurant’s popularity continues to grow, especially after its role in the Eurovision Song Contest.
