Lisbon's 2025 budget flips €9.9M deficit into €63.2M surplus under Moedas
Carlos Moedas had his sights set firmly on his target this Tuesday as he took the floor at Lisbon's Municipal Assembly to outline the city council's key initiatives over the past two months. His goal was to go on the offensive against the Socialist Party (PS), and to that end, the mayor began by unveiling the city's 2025 budget—shifting from a €9.9 million deficit to a €63.2 million net surplus.
"I haven't forgotten that just a year ago, the PS called our management reckless. Today, I expect to hear some gratitude and recognition from them," he declared.
