Thuringia's volunteer groups to learn about funding at May 13 event
An information event for local associations will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Seeba Boathouse. Starting at 7:00 PM, the session will focus on funding opportunities for volunteer work across Thuringia. Organisers have invited associations to learn about financial support and ask their own questions. Guntram Wothly, Thuringia’s State Commissioner for Volunteer Engagement, will lead the evening. He is set to deliver a presentation before taking part in an open discussion with attendees.
The event will cover key topics such as available funding options, application procedures, and the levels of support on offer. Participants can expect clear details on how to access financial backing for their volunteer projects. Towards the end, the Henneberger Land Regional Action Group (RAG) will outline its regional funding programmes. Attendees are encouraged to bring specific questions about securing funds for their own volunteer initiatives.
The session aims to give local associations practical guidance on funding. By the end, participants should have a clearer understanding of the support available in Thuringia. Questions from the audience will help tailor the advice to individual needs.
