The general meeting focused not only on the report by party and parliamentary group leader Philipp Heks but also on the election of a new executive board. The candidates proposed by the members were unanimously elected, reflecting both continuity and fresh momentum for future work. Georg Ploenes was chosen as chair, supported by his deputy, Roland Ehlert. Together with their team, they aim to drive forward the issues affecting the district. Andrea Thielen will serve as managing director, with Melanie Hübler as her deputy. The board is rounded out by members Holger Brouwers, Andreas Czermin, Markus Lücker, Alexandra Peisert, Marcel Simons, and Heinrich Suthor. In an advisory capacity, Rainer Lankes and Ralf Stobbe will support the executive board.

In his report, Philipp Heks emphasized the strained budget situation in the city of Nettetal. He underscored that financial flexibility is shrinking and that future political decisions will need to be even more closely aligned with clear priorities and fiscal responsibility.

Another key contribution came from the state parliament report: State lawmaker Dr. Marcus Optendrenk briefed attendees on current developments at the state level, with a particular focus on education, internal security, and economic policy.

With the newly elected team in place, the local committee believes it is well positioned to tackle upcoming challenges with commitment and continue playing an active role in shaping Lobberich's future.
