Lübeck Adjusts Waste Collection for German Unity Day
German Unity Day, celebrated nationwide on October 3, 2025, has led to adjustments in waste management schedules in Lübeck. The 'Entsorgungsbetriebe Lübeck' (Lübeck Waste Management Department), responsible for waste management, has announced the changes and urges residents to adhere to the revised plan.
On Friday, October 3, waste collection will not take place as usual. Instead, it has been rescheduled to the following day, Saturday, October 4, 2025. The waste management department has requested understanding from residents regarding this shift.
Residents are reminded to place their yellow recycling bags visibly at the roadside by 6 am on the changed collection day. Similarly, residual, organic, and paper bins should be ready for collection by the same time. The department has assured that collections will take place as scheduled on the revised day.
For any queries regarding waste disposal, residents can contact the waste management department directly at (0451) 707600 or via email at [email protected]. Alternatively, Veolia Umweltservice Nord GmbH can be reached at 0800 0785600 or [email protected] for questions about yellow bag disposal.
In light of the German Unity Day holiday, waste collection in Lübeck has been adjusted to Saturday, October 4, 2025. Residents are advised to follow the revised schedule and contact the relevant authorities for any disposal-related queries.
