Call Center Launched in 2005 as Part of Comprehensive Modernization of Magadan Region's Employment Centers

Magadan's job hotline assists 1,280 callers in early 2023

The call center was established in 2005 during the overhaul of the Magadan region's employment offices, where residents can receive guidance on job placement and training. In the first quarter of this year, the region's Employment Center fielded 1,280 calls—818 from job seekers and 462 from employers—according to the center's press service.

Callers inquired about how to register for unemployment benefits, find suitable job openings, apply for summer work for minors, and access support measures for people with disabilities and retirees. Many also asked about the maximum allowable benefit amounts, while 46 sought help navigating Russia's unified digital employment platform, Rabota Rossii (Work in Russia).

Employers received assistance in recruiting staff, along with consultations on workplace quotas and hiring teenagers for seasonal jobs. Over 30 questions concerned posting and moderating job listings on the Rabota Rossii portal. Additionally, operators provided information on available employment support for participants in the special military operation and their families, single mothers, and individuals with disabilities.
