Markgröningen school targeted in repeated vandalism attacks over four days

A school in Markgröningen has been hit by multiple acts of vandalism over several days. Between February 6 and 9, 2026, unknown individuals spray-painted graffiti across the building’s exterior. Police are now investigating the incidents and seeking information from the public.

The attacks took place at a school on Sudetenstraße. Vandals covered the walls with various sequences of characters, some referencing the town itself. Despite this, investigators have yet to determine a clear motive for the remaining markings.

The damage caused is estimated at around €3,000. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can contact the Markgröningen police station by phone at +49 7145 93270 or via email at [email protected].

The investigation into the vandalism remains ongoing. Police continue to review evidence and gather witness statements. Anyone with relevant details is encouraged to reach out to assist the case.
