Gera's City Council has appointed Markus Margull as the new managing director of the city's economic development agency. The decision follows a thorough selection process involving five shortlisted candidates. His five-year term will begin on 1 April 2026. A total of 24 applicants applied for the position, with five candidates invited for interviews.
