Missing 82-year-old man found dead near Schwabach after public search
Schwabach (News Release)
An 82-year-old man from Schwabach, identified as Daniel S., had been missing since Thursday afternoon (March 26, 2026). On Friday midday (March 27, 2026), emergency responders located the missing man deceased. The public search alert has now been canceled.
Officers from the Franconian Mounted Police Unit discovered the 82-year-old's body during a follow-up search. The Criminal Investigation Division of Central Franconia has taken charge of further procedures at the scene. There is currently no evidence to suggest foul play.
