New Police Director Inspects Hann. Münden Academy’s Cutting-Edge Training

State Police Director Bernd Gründel visited the Police Academy in Hann. Münden on August 7, 2025, marking his first inspection since taking office on October 1, 2024. During his visit, he observed various training sessions and praised the high professionalism at the academy.

Gründel inspected the newly equipped training room for virtual situation training, where he observed firearms deployment training and defense and access training. He valued the open exchange with the students and commended their commitment.

The new selection procedure for police in Lower Saxony, to be used for the first time in 2026, includes a test of physical performance and a computer test. Deputy Director Andrea Marquardt emphasized the importance of selecting suitable applicants for the force. Gründel, along with LPD Gründel, inspected the training room and observed the exercises.
