Nizhny Novgorod residents pick 2027 renovation sites in public vote

Voting Begins to Select Public Spaces for Renovation in Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2027

The annual program is part of the federal project "Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment" under the national initiative "Infrastructure for Life."

Voting will run from April 21 to June 12, 2026. Residents of Nizhny Novgorod Region will choose public spaces in their communities—93 locations across 23 districts, including Nizhny Novgorod and the Kstovo District.

"We see strong public interest in urban improvement projects. In 2021, there were 9.7 million votes, and in 2025, that number rose to 16.6 million. I am confident that this year will also see high engagement, making our cities and villages even more welcoming," said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

Since 2019, the region has renovated over 750 public spaces and more than 3,000 residential courtyards.

"I urge all residents of Nizhny Novgorod Region to take a few minutes to share which public spaces they believe should be upgraded next year," said Governor Gleb Nikitin.

Voting is available on the platform: zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru.
