Nordenham Homicide Probe Intensifies After Suspect Surrenders to Police
A homicide investigation is underway in Nordenham after a 34-year-old man's body was found in a commercial building. Police suspect foul play and have arrested a 62-year-old man in connection with the case.
The body was discovered on March 21, 2026, inside a property on Großensieler Straße. Authorities quickly launched a large-scale probe, treating the death as suspicious.
On March 23, a homicide team was formed, and an arrest warrant was issued for the 62-year-old suspect. The following day, the man turned himself in to police. He was taken into custody and is set to appear before a magistrate on March 24. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the death. The victim, a 34-year-old from Oldenburg, is believed to have been killed in a violent attack. The suspect remains in detention as the inquiry progresses.
The arrested man is now in pre-trial custody while police gather further evidence. Authorities have not yet released additional details about the motive or exact cause of death. The investigation remains active.
