Pinneberg Youth Fire Brigade Welcomes New Leaders After Key Departures
The Pinneberg District Youth Fire Brigade has elected new leaders and made key appointments. Several long-serving members stepped down, while fresh faces took on important roles. The changes were announced during the latest committee meeting.
Jan Sudeck and Volker Tanck left their positions on the committee. Despite their departure, Sudeck will continue working in the education division. Their exit created openings for new candidates.
Fin Giese was chosen as the new district youth group leader. Maximilian Wiek will serve as his deputy. Both will lead the organisation’s youth activities moving forward. Jan Heitmann replaced Sudeck as deputy to Gerlinde Langeloh, the district youth fire chief. Silke Bade from Heidgraben joined as an alternate member. Nick Bahlke was appointed to head the education division, while Anika Bohm took responsibility for youth protection. Not all roles were filled. No candidates came forward for education officer, public relations officer, or secretary. Currently, 538 boys and 288 girls are active in youth fire brigades across Pinneberg district.
The committee now has a mix of new and experienced members in key positions. Some roles remain vacant, leaving gaps in education, communications, and administration. The organisation continues to support hundreds of young participants in its fire brigades.
