Police raids in Delmenhorst uncover illegal gambling and drugs
Police carried out large-scale raids in Delmenhorst on Saturday night. The operation targeted illegal gambling and drug-related activity. Officers searched multiple locations across two districts in the city.
The raids took place in the Düsternort and Hasport areas, covering eight separate addresses. During the searches, authorities confiscated unauthorised gambling machines and a five-figure sum of cash. A small amount of drugs was also discovered in a vehicle connected to one of the suspects.
Traffic in Düsternort faced temporary delays as roads were closed for the operation. At one of the properties, officers arrested an individual who had several outstanding warrants. The police worked closely with the Oldenburg Public Prosecutor’s Office to manage media communications about the case.
The operation resulted in seizures of gambling equipment, cash, and drugs. One person was detained due to prior arrest warrants. Authorities continue to investigate the findings from the raids.
