Police seek suspect who stole handbag after helping victim cross street

After exhausting all investigative leads, police are searching for a suspect who assisted a victim across the street on Saturday, November 29, 2025, before stealing her handbag.
At around 12:00 PM, the victim withdrew cash from an ATM on Lange Straße, placed the money in her purse, and set it in her shopping trolley. An unknown man then helped her cross the street—only to take her bag, along with the cash she had just withdrawn.
Following a court order authorizing a public appeal, police are now asking: Does anyone recognize this man?

Anyone with information about his identity is urged to contact Criminal Investigation Division 13.
