Swimming in Potsdam to Get More Expensive

Potsdam raises swimming pool entry fees starting May 2023

POTSDAM (dpa/bb) — Visitors to swimming pools in Potsdam will soon have to pay higher admission fees. The city's Bäderlandschaft Potsdam pool network, operated by Stadtwerke Potsdam, will adjust prices starting May 1. For example, a standard single-entry ticket at Blu Sports and Leisure Pool and Park Babelsberg Municipal Pool will rise from €5.90 to €6.50, while children's tickets will increase from €2.40 to €2.50.

The price hike is attributed to rising costs—including outsourced repairs and maintenance, energy, water, wastewater, and personnel expenses—which must now be partially passed on to customers through higher fees.

However, there's still a way to save: Frequent swimmers and sauna-goers can opt for multi-visit passes, including 11-entry cards, three-month, seasonal, or annual memberships, all of which remain more affordable than single tickets.
