Putin hails Nizhny Novgorod as Russia's strategic powerhouse in key meeting
Vladimir Putin Calls Nizhny Novgorod "One of Russia's Key Strongholds"
The president made the statement during a conversation with City Duma Chairman and special military operation participant Yevgeny Chintsov at the All-Russian Municipal Forum "Malaya Rodina—The Strength of Russia," which brings together the heads of all municipal entities across the country.
In the meeting with Putin, Chintsov thanked the president for his attention to veterans of the special military operation and the "Time of Heroes" support program. In response, Putin commended Chintsov's work and praised the city itself.
"Nizhny Novgorod—both as a city and as a region—is developing very well. It is a powerful region, one of Russia's key strongholds. Please pass on my best wishes and deepest gratitude to all your colleagues in the City Duma," the president said.
Earlier, the local news outlet Pravda-NN reported that Yevgeny Chintsov had assured Vladimir Putin of Russia's victory in the special military operation.
