GASBA 2025 launches with record €96,000 to fuel social innovation
The 'Get Active Social Business Award' (GASBA) will return in 2025 with its largest budget yet. Now in its 19th year, the competition encourages people to tackle social issues through entrepreneurial thinking. This edition runs under the slogan Make a Difference. GASBA first launched in 2007 as Ideas Against Poverty. It was later rebranded in 2015 to its current name, shifting focus toward social innovation. The award has since supported individuals turning bold ideas into real-world solutions.
This year’s prize fund reaches a record €96,000. Organisers aim to attract even more applicants by offering greater financial backing. Submissions remain open until the end of July. The competition continues to push for creative approaches to societal challenges. Past winners have addressed issues like education gaps, environmental sustainability, and community development. GASBA’s mission stays the same: to turn ambition into action.
The 2025 edition marks another step forward for GASBA. With more funding and a clear call to action, it invites problem-solvers to submit their projects before the July deadline. Successful applicants will gain both financial support and a platform to scale their initiatives.
