Anil Agarwal reveals the lonely, high-pressure climb of entrepreneurship

Anil Agarwal, Chairman of Vedanta Resources, recently spoke about the emotional challenges faced by young entrepreneurs. In a candid message, he described the early days of building a business as a high-pressure struggle where every choice can make or break a dream. Agarwal compared the journey to climbing Mount Everest. The higher an entrepreneur goes, the fewer people remain by their side. He admitted that most onlookers won’t grasp the struggle because they’ve never had to believe in something unseen.

He called the founder’s path a lonely one, quoting in Hindi: *'Safar bhale hi akela ho, raasta apna hona chahiye...'* (Even if the journey is solitary, one must stay true to their own road.) For the toughest nights, he suggested finding small reminders of home to keep spirits up. The businessman didn’t downplay the strain, calling it a 'pressure cooker' where decisions carry immense weight. Yet his core advice was simple: keep moving forward, no matter how isolating the climb feels.

Agarwal’s words highlight the unseen battles behind entrepreneurship. His message underscores the need for resilience when few understand the path. For those in the trenches, he offered both honesty about the struggle and encouragement to persist.
