Brandenburg's government hits the road with 'Cabinet on Tour' initiative

Brandenburg’s state government is taking its work on the road. On 19 May 2023, the SPD/CDU coalition will kick off its 'Cabinet on Tour' series in the Havelland district. The initiative aims to visit every rural district and independent city in the region by 2029. The first event will take place in Nauen, where officials will discuss key projects like railway upgrades and infrastructure funding. Minister-President Dietmar Woidke (SPD) will also restart his 'Let’s Talk, Brandenburg!' citizen dialogues in Rathenow, answering questions alongside Mayor Jörg Zietemann.

During the tour, several ministers will visit local sites. Finance Minister Daniel Keller will stop by the Nauen tax office. Transport Minister Robert Crumbach will inspect the Rathenow road maintenance depot. Agriculture Minister Hanka Mittelstädt is set to tour Havellandhof Ribbeck farm, while Social Affairs Minister René Wilke will meet with Falkensee’s Senior Citizens’ Council.

The 'Cabinet on Tour' series marks the government’s effort to engage directly with residents across Brandenburg. By 2029, all 14 rural districts and four independent cities will host similar visits. The dialogues and site inspections are designed to address local concerns and showcase ongoing projects.
