Belbake Chocolate Sprinkles recalled over salmonella contamination risk
A batch of Belbake Chocolate Sprinkles has been recalled due to possible salmonella contamination. The manufacturer, Drageefabrik Stolze GmbH, issued the warning after identifying a risk in the 400g packs. Only specific batches are affected by the alert. The recalled product is Belbake Chocolate Sprinkles (minimum 32% cocoa) in 400g packaging. It carries the best-before date of April 21, 2027, with batch numbers ranging from 1326.01 to 1326.14. These items were sold exclusively at Lidl stores across ten German regions: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Saxony.
Customers who have purchased the affected sprinkles can return them to any Lidl branch for a full refund. No receipt is required for the exchange. The recall does not extend to other products from Drageefabrik Stolze or additional items under the Belbake brand. The company has taken action to remove the potentially contaminated sprinkles from circulation. Shoppers are advised to check their packaging for the specified batch numbers and best-before date. Those with affected products should return them immediately for a refund.
