The Rhein-Kreis Neuss recently took part in the polis Convention 2024, joining a shared stand organised by Standort Niederrhein GmbH. The event, held under the theme ‘polis tomorrow’, brought together investors, developers, and industry leaders to discuss cross-sector urban and regional development. The joint stand acted as a hub for networking, giving the district a platform to showcase its key projects. Among the highlights were the Dormagen Innovation Campus, the Frimmersdorf Power Plant Digital and Innovation Quarter, and the Neue Hammfeld development in Grevenbroich. Other featured initiatives included NEULAND Neuss, the Otzenrath-Süd Resource Protection Settlement, and the Rommerskirchen rail loop expansion.
Additional projects, such as the **Jüchen-West Future District**, the **Kaarst-Ost industrial park**, and the **Kalverdonk residential development**, were also presented. The district’s portfolio demonstrated a wide range of developments, from industrial growth to sustainable housing and transport upgrades. District Administrator **Katharina Reinhold** stressed the value of face-to-face discussions at the convention. She noted that direct exchange and teamwork are essential for advancing municipal and regional planning. The fair also focused on practical strategies for implementing projects amid changing economic conditions and the need for integrated planning approaches.
