Russian Official Honored by Vietnam for Strengthening Bilateral Economic Ties

Anatoli Dmitrievich Artamonov, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on the Budget and Financial Markets, has been honoured with the Friendship Order by Vietnam. This prestigious award, the highest distinction granted to foreigners by Vietnam, recognises Artamonov's significant contributions to the cooperation between Kaluga Oblast and Vietnam.

Artamonov, who succeeded Valery Sudarenkov as Governor of Kaluga Oblast, has been praised for his role in fostering practical and mutually beneficial cooperation between Vietnam and Russia. Notably, he has supported investment projects by Vietnamese enterprises in Kaluga, including the TH Group's dairy project. This project is seen as a significant example of effective cooperation between the two nations.

During a ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Đặng Minh Khôi presented the order to Artamonov on behalf of the Vietnamese President. Artamonov, in turn, thanked the Vietnamese leadership for the honour and highlighted the growing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Russia. He also commended Vietnam's socio-economic progress and Russia's eagerness to learn from Vietnam's experience in hi-tech manufacturing.

Artamonov's award of the Friendship Order underscores the strong bilateral relations between Vietnam and Russia. His contributions to the cooperation between Kaluga Oblast and Vietnam have been recognised and respected by Vietnam, paving the way for further collaboration and mutual growth.
