Subway in Wolfsburg-Heinenkamp reopens after a year with bold upgrades
After nearly a year of closure following the insolvency of its previous operator, the Subway branch in Wolfsburg-Heinenkamp has reopened—much to the delight of many locals. The outlet, which had stood empty for months, has now welcomed customers again with a modernized look, a fresh organizational structure, and a new team, according to a press release from its new operators.
The relaunch followed a lengthy and challenging preparation phase, explains Mahbod Habibi, managing director of HCG GmbH, the company behind the revival of the Gifhorn Subway location late last year and now the driving force behind the reopening at Brandgehege. "Behind the scenes, we had to resolve a number of organizational and financial issues before we could bring the location back into operation," Habibi notes. For the new operators, however, one thing was clear: the branch would not only reopen but also receive a visible upgrade.
Complete Overhaul of the Location's Appearance
The renovation was extensive. The previous design was entirely replaced, giving way to a modern "Fresh Forward" concept featuring bright colors, contemporary aesthetics, and an overall fresher look to ensure customers immediately notice the transformation. In addition, the entire site underwent thorough refurbishment, along with numerous technical and organizational improvements to prepare for the reopening.
A new chapter has also begun in terms of staffing. A fresh team will now focus on service, quality, and smooth operations. The goal, according to the operators, is not just to revive the location but to re-establish it as a permanent fixture in Wolfsburg.

The branch offers several advantages: it is easily accessible by car, and plenty of free parking is available right on-site—a major plus for customers looking to fit their visit seamlessly into their daily routines.
