Russia's United Party Opens Online Voter Registration for Duma Primaries
Residents across Russia can now register to vote in United Russia’s preliminary party elections ahead of the autumn State Duma polls. The process involves a quick online sign-up, with verification through the State Services portal. One participant, Ekaterina Gadzhibekova from the Republic of Komi, has already registered and is urging others to do the same. To take part, voters must visit pg.er.ru and select the 'I Want to Vote' option. The system then requires a login via a verified State Services (ESIA) account. Users must grant the site access to their profile details, including their residential address.
The provided address is cross-checked with the one stored in the State Services database. This step ensures voters are linked to the correct polling station. Registered participants will be able to cast their ballots by late May. Among those already signed up is Ekaterina Gadzhibekova, a mother of three from Ust-Kulomsky District. She has two sons, aged four and ten, and a 17-year-old daughter. Gadzhibekova believes the future stability of Russia depends on who becomes deputies in the next State Duma. She is now encouraging other families in the Republic of Komi to participate in the preliminary vote. Candidates who secure the most votes in cities and districts will later be eligible for nomination by United Russia in the official State Duma elections.
The preliminary elections offer voters a direct role in selecting United Russia’s candidates for the autumn polls. Registration remains open online, with verification ensuring accurate polling station assignments. Successful candidates will move forward as the party’s nominees in the upcoming State Duma race.
