A drunk cyclist disrupted a police operation in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt early Saturday morning. The incident occurred on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße when the man rode his bicycle into an ongoing police action. A voluntary breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.73 per mille, according to a police press statement.
After the test, officers took a blood sample from the man. Authorities have launched criminal proceedings for drunk cycling. The man then continued on his way, pushing his bicycle.
