Thuringia's new event empowers volunteers with funding and support
Martin Henkel, a CDU member of the Thuringian state parliament, has invited the public to an information event called 'Hello Volunteers – How Can We Support You?'. The gathering will focus on improving volunteer work across the region and offering better resources to those involved. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Dorndorf Cultural Center. It will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both current and prospective volunteers are welcome to attend.
Attendees will learn about new funding opportunities under Thuringia’s Volunteer Act. Practical advice will also be provided to help make volunteer work more effective and sustainable. Organisers aim to showcase ways to simplify planning and secure financial support. To ensure smooth arrangements, participants are asked to register beforehand. Registration can be completed by emailing *[email protected]*.
The session seeks to strengthen volunteer networks in Thuringia. By highlighting available funding and support, the event aims to make volunteering more accessible and rewarding. Those interested in contributing to their communities are encouraged to take part.
