Ural Music Night wins major grant after boosting Yekaterinburg’s economy by 1.2 billion rubles
The Ural Music Night festival has been recognised as a winner in the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives' first grant competition of 2026. The festival, held in Yekaterinburg, has brought significant economic benefits to the region and is expected to attract a substantial number of spectators this year.
The festival's success has not gone unnoticed. It has secured a grant of 55.8 million rubles, with projects attracting an additional 177 million rubles in investment. This year, organisers anticipate a massive turnout, with 450,000 spectators expected to attend.
In 2024, the festival generated a significant 1.2 billion rubles for Yekaterinburg's economy, drawing 380,000 spectators. Last year, Ural Music Night received 31 million rubles from the PFCI, with the project's overall federal budget allocation reaching 63 million rubles. The festival's impact is undeniable, contributing to the cultural and economic growth of the region.
