Velbert Youth Parliament to Convene on Tuesday, February 24
The Velbert Youth Parliament will hold its next session on Tuesday, February 24, at 3:00 PM in the Velbert Hall of the Town Hall (Thomasstraße 1).
Agenda Highlights
The meeting will include reports from the spokesperson team on recent working sessions, updates from the working groups, the District Youth Council, the North Rhine-Westphalia Children and Youth Council, and the city council committees. Participants will also discuss the topic of conscription and hear a presentation on the Women's Network initiative. Additionally, the Youth Parliament will deliberate on plans for a holiday recreation program in collaboration with the Velbert Children's Association and the Leuchtturm Foundation. About the Youth Parliament
Elected for a two-year term, the Youth Parliament is an independent body composed of students from Velbert's secondary schools. Five additional seats are reserved for young people aged 10 to 24 who do not attend school in Velbert. The 34 members represent the interests and concerns of children and youth in the city, providing a platform for participation and co-determination.
