GroupMosca pivots to automated packaging and digital supply chain solutions

GroupMosca is shifting its focus towards automated packaging and digital solutions. The company, known for its strapping machines and stretch wrappers, now aims to provide fully integrated end-of-line systems. Recent acquisitions and technological upgrades mark this strategic change in direction. The company has long supplied manual and automated packaging equipment for industrial use. Its portfolio includes strapping machines, stretch wrappers, and consumables like recycled strapping bands. These materials support sustainability by incorporating post-consumer recycled content.

GroupMosca recently acquired Movitec, a specialist in strapping technology, to strengthen its expertise in automated end-of-line systems. This move aligns with its broader goal of offering complete packaging solutions rather than standalone machinery.

At its TechCenter, the company tests load units under real-world conditions. The process improves transport safety, reduces material waste, and ensures compliance with legal standards. Another key development is the 'Digital Load Pass' system, which automatically records stability, packaging, and sustainability data. This information can be used for audits or ESG reporting.

The company has also digitised its machinery with the Connect series. These machines feature a web-based interface that displays process and status data in real time. By integrating packaging machinery, consumables, digital tools, and services, GroupMosca aims to create a unified system for supply chains. The shift towards automation, digital tracking, and sustainable materials reflects GroupMosca’s evolving business model. The company now positions itself as a provider of end-to-end packaging solutions. This approach is designed to make supply chains more efficient, transparent, and resilient.
