Brandenburg's outdoor pools reopen with upgrades and summer fun ahead
Two popular outdoor pools in Brandenburg will reopen this week as warmer weather arrives. Waldbad Templin and Stadtbad Park Babelsberg will welcome visitors from May 14, just in time for rising temperatures. Forecasters predict highs above 20°C (68°F) by Saturday, May 16, making a swim even more appealing. Potsdam’s lakeside beaches will also open their gates at 10 a.m. on May 14. Among the reopening sites, Stadtbad Park Babelsberg stands out after a recent renovation. The pool, which first reopened last July, now features updated sanitary areas, modern changing rooms, and new showers. Bike racks with charging stations have been added for cyclists. Despite the upgrades, the site keeps its historic charm, preserving climbing arches and flower planters from the East German era.
*Waldbad Templin* offers a wider range of activities for guests. A large water slide, beach volleyball courts, and a wading pool cater to families and sports enthusiasts. The site also includes a wakeboarding facility and a dedicated nudist (*FKK*) area, which remains a favourite among regular visitors.
The reopening of both pools coincides with improving weather conditions. With temperatures climbing, visitors can now enjoy swimming, sports, and relaxation at these updated facilities. The upgrades at Stadtbad Park Babelsberg and the varied attractions at Waldbad Templin provide options for all ages.
