Vetluga leaders and residents unite to shape People's Program priorities

A recent meeting in Vetluga brought together regional leaders and residents to discuss the People’s Program. The session aimed to review progress and collect fresh proposals from communities in Nizhny Novgorod’s northern territories. Key figures, including State Duma Deputy Artem Kavinov, led the discussions.

The gathering saw participation from Denis Bakiev, Deputy Speaker of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Legislative Assembly, and Seiran Iskenderov, Chair of the region’s United Russia primary branches. Both stressed the need for direct engagement with residents to gather meaningful feedback.

Residents raised concerns on multiple fronts, including healthcare improvements, support for young professionals, and broader territorial development. Olga Smirnova, one attendee, called for stronger backing of the Culture of the Small Homeland project. In response, Iskenderov highlighted ongoing initiatives like Our Local Branch and A Branch of Good Deeds, designed to fund and promote grassroots projects.

Kavinov underscored the role of United Russia’s local branches in addressing community needs. He noted that these branches serve as vital links between residents and policymakers. By the meeting’s end, several resident proposals were shortlisted for further review and possible inclusion in the next stage of the People’s Program.

The meeting concluded with a clear focus on turning resident feedback into actionable plans. Selected proposals will now undergo further development, shaping the future direction of the People’s Program. Local leaders have reiterated their commitment to maintaining open dialogue with communities moving forward.
