Woman accused of swapping new marketplace items for used goods
A 46-year-old woman from Labinsk is facing fraud charges after allegedly swapping new marketplace items for used ones. The case has now been sent to court, with prosecutors claiming she caused over 80,000 rubles in damages.
The investigation found that the woman ordered new goods from an online marketplace but returned worn-out replacements instead. She then kept the original items for herself. Authorities have charged her under Part 2 of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code, which covers fraud.
If convicted, she could receive a prison sentence of up to six years. The total financial harm from her actions exceeds 80,000 rubles, according to court documents.
The case will now proceed through the legal system. A guilty verdict would result in a penalty ranging from fines to imprisonment. The outcome will depend on the evidence presented during the trial.
