Young Voters’ Union unveils 67 candidates for 2026 district elections

The Young Voters’ Union (JWU) of Unterallgäu has announced its candidates for the 2026 district council elections. A total of 67 nominees, including prominent figures like Thomas Rauch, Verena Winter, and Peter Wachler, were nominated at a meeting held in Erkheim on 8th March 2026.

The JWU's nominees hail from various towns across the district, including Dirlewang, Babenhausen, Ottobeuren, and Ettringen. They are active in local clubs, organizations, and initiatives, bringing a wealth of community experience to the table.

The top candidates for the JWU are Thomas Rauch, Martina Gleich, Markus Schindele, Carina Seifert, Fabian Zinder, Ann-Kathrin Willer, Tobias Kotonski, Daniel Böhm, Antonia Jung, and Maximilian Raith. The list also includes notable figures such as CSU district administrator candidate Verena Winter, state parliamentarian Peter Wachler, and federal parliamentarian Dr. Florian Dorn, who attended the nomination meeting in support of the candidates.

The JWU Unterallgäu's 67 candidates, representing diverse towns and backgrounds, aim to bring fresh perspectives and community engagement to the district council. The nomination process reflects the union's commitment to youth involvement in local politics.
