Arnsberg’s municipal election concludes smoothly with final results confirmed

The municipal election in Arnsberg has concluded successfully, with around 630 dedicated election helpers ensuring a smooth process across 63 polling stations and 23 postal voting stations. Mayor Ralf Paul Bittner, election supervisor Christopher Hilverling, and Kirsten Heckmann expressed their gratitude to the helpers for their commitment.

Daniela Dümpelmann led the central team in the municipal election office, coordinating and preparing for the election. Approximately 59,100 citizens were eligible to vote, including around 3,100 first-time voters. The election has concluded without the need for a runoff on September 28th, with the final election results now confirmed.

As of December 2023, it is not yet known who will lead the election process in 2025. The person in charge, known as the Wahlleiter or Wahlleiterin, is typically appointed by the mayor or their deputy. This information is usually made public through official channels, such as the city's website or local newspaper, closer to the election date.
