Arson attacks strike Wiesbaden city centre overnight with ten fires
A series of deliberate fires broke out in Wiesbaden’s city centre early on Saturday morning. Ten trash bins and a tree were set alight between 12:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., causing property damage but no injuries. The fires started in multiple locations across the area. Affected streets included Hellmundstraße, Dotzheimer Straße, Blücherplatz, and Wolfram-von-Eschenbach-Straße. Flames also appeared in Adelheidstraße, Niederwaldstraße, Hattenheimer Straße, and Lahnstraße, where a tree was also targeted.
The incidents resulted in several hundred euros’ worth of damage. Authorities confirmed that no one was hurt during the attacks. The Wiesbaden Criminal Police are now investigating the case. They have urged anyone with information about the perpetrators to come forward and assist with the inquiry.
The fires caused minor financial losses but left no injuries. Police continue to seek witnesses who may help identify those responsible. Anyone with details is encouraged to contact the authorities immediately.
