Bad Salzungen’s ‘Trinkhalle Talks’ Tackles Ethical End-of-Life Questions on November 12

Bad Salzungen's 'Trinkhalle Talks' series returns on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM. This time, the event focuses on ethical questions surrounding the end of life, with a panel discussion featuring theologians, medical doctors, and a regional bishop.

The panel includes Dr. Johanna Weber, Prof. Dr. Anna Schmidt, and Dr. Lisa Müller, all respected in both theology and medicine. They will delve into topics such as accompaniment in the final phase of life, palliative care, self-determination, and Christian traditions' guidance on end-of-life issues.

Joining them is Regional Bishop Dr. Friederike Spengler, who brings a spiritual perspective. Prof. Dr. Katharina Klöcker and Dr. Henriette Mücke, both experts in bioethics, will also contribute to the discussion. Moderating the event is Niklas Wagner of the Catholic Forum in the State of Thuringia, Erfurt.

The 'Trinkhalle Talks' series welcomes all interested citizens, regardless of denomination or religious affiliation. The event aims to foster open dialogue on these socially relevant issues, encouraging attendees to engage with the panelists and consider different viewpoints.
