BDS Apprentice Academy launches with networking, elections and a birthday surprise
The BDS Apprentice Academy kicked off in January 2026 with 36 trainees from six local companies. On the same day, District Administrator Bold celebrated his birthday during a special session with the group in the council chamber. The trainees began their first seminar with a surprise musical serenade for Bold. He welcomed them warmly and highlighted the importance of networking across different firms.
Later, Steffen Schreck, a BDS member and mayoral candidate, led a hands-on session on municipal elections. The group practised voting using the Sainte-Laguë/Schepers method, simulating a real election process. Feedback forms afterwards showed high satisfaction, with trainees praising Schreck’s practical approach. The day also included a tour of *DeinHaus 4.0*, a modern housing project. The 2025/2026 programme features unique events like 'Bowling Night: Beat the Boss' and a 'Certificate Ceremony with Introductory Golf Lesson', both fully funded by the BDS Bad Kissingen branch.
The academy’s launch brought together trainees, instructors, and local officials in an engaging start. Upcoming activities will mix professional training with team-building exercises, all supported by the BDS branch.
