Benidorm extends deadline for Entrepreneurial Ideas Competition to December 22

Benidorm’s Entrepreneurial Ideas Competition has given applicants more time to enter. The new deadline is December 22, 2024, following an extension announced by Councillor Mónica Gómez. The contest aims to support local business ideas and encourage self-employment as a career path. The competition offers a total of 5,000 euros in prizes, including main awards and a special 2,000-euro 'Batiste Fuster' Award. This special recognition goes to projects that stand out in accessibility, charity, sustainability, innovation, or creativity.

Participants must submit their proposals electronically via the city council’s online platform by 23:59 on the closing date. Each person or team can enter only once, and late submissions will not be considered. Applicants registered in Benidorm receive bonus points during the initial evaluation stage.

The selection process has three phases: an initial check, a jury review, and final presentations. Organisers hope the contest will diversify the local economy by rewarding practical and innovative business plans. The extended deadline gives entrepreneurs extra weeks to refine their ideas. Winners will be chosen based on viability, originality, and impact. Successful projects could receive funding and recognition to help launch their businesses.
