Berlin building housing Israeli firm targeted with threatening graffiti
A building in Berlin's Charlottenburg district was vandalised with threatening graffiti early on Monday morning. The incident involved two painted slogans discovered on an exterior wall and the entrance door at around 4:45 a.m. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the criminal damage.
The caretaker first noticed the graffiti shortly before dawn. The slogans, which included threats, were painted on the outside of a building housing an Israeli company. No public statement from the affected business has been reported so far.
Building management acted quickly to remove the graffiti. Meanwhile, Berlin's State Office of Criminal Investigation (LKA) has taken charge of the case. Their domestic security unit is now leading the probe into the vandalism.
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to identify those responsible. The building's exterior has since been cleaned, but the motive behind the incident is still under examination. Authorities have not released further details at this stage.
