Scottish Equity Partners reshapes leadership with new co-managing partners and chairman
Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has announced a major shift in its leadership team. The changes include new roles for long-standing members and a restructured management approach.
Calum Paterson, the current managing partner, will step into a new position as chairman and senior partner. His move follows a decade of leading the firm through significant growth and investment activity.
Calum Paterson has overseen SEP’s expansion during his time as managing partner. Under his leadership, the firm raised seven funds and invested in more than 160 businesses. His experience will now support the company in a strategic advisory role.
Taking over from Paterson are Angus Conroy and Keith Davidson, who have been named Co-Managing Partners. Both have played a key role in shaping SEP’s strategy over the past ten years. Calum Paterson praised their partnership, stating they would excel in their new positions. The leadership changes extend beyond the managing partner roles. Tim Ankers has been promoted to Partner within SEP’s investment team. Additionally, Fraser McLatchie will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). The new structure highlights SEP’s focus on maintaining its position as a leading investor. The firm aims to continue supporting ambitious technology companies across the UK and Europe.
The appointments mark a clear transition in SEP’s leadership. With Paterson moving to chairman, Conroy and Davidson will guide the firm’s future direction. The updated team is set to reinforce SEP’s commitment to growth and innovation in the tech sector.
