Inside the high-stakes week of a multi-sector business leader

This week marked a milestone for SK4 Holdings, founded two decades ago by a business leader who now oversees three thriving companies. The group includes LSC, the UK’s largest provider of specialist PPA cover and wraparound childcare for primary schools, alongside ventures in childcare and private dentistry. A busy schedule of meetings, interviews, and strategic planning filled the week as operations expanded across multiple sectors.

The week began with a full day of interviews on Monday. The focus was on recruiting a head of marketing for Nurtured Childcare, a business launched in 2021 that now runs 12 children’s day nurseries across northern England.

By Tuesday, attention shifted to a visit from the team at Primary Sports Coaching. They met at the head office, where discussions with the Financial Controller aimed to advance new deal opportunities. This followed years of growth since LSC was established 20 years ago as the leading provider in its field. Midweek brought a structured routine. Wednesdays are reserved for senior leadership team meetings, covering all three businesses under SK4 Holdings. These include Smile Society, a private dental practice group with four locations, which opened in 2025. Beyond corporate leadership, the week also involved oversight of Cheadle Town FC, a non-league club competing in the North West Counties Premier League and Women’s National League. Each day starts early, with emails addressed by 8am before tackling operational and strategic tasks.

The week reflected the demands of managing a diverse portfolio. From hiring key staff to negotiating partnerships and leading multiple teams, the schedule highlighted ongoing expansion. With businesses spanning education, childcare, dentistry, and sports, the focus remains on growth and operational strength.
