Stuttgart. Jens Spahn, leader of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag, has underscored the special significance of the CDU federal party conference, which begins Friday morning.
CDU targets homeownership for workers in landmark policy shift
"This is the first chancellor-led party conference in five years—that alone makes it something special," Spahn told Bild. Referring to the key motion on housing policy, he added: "The CDU stands for a country where hard work pays off. Those who contribute should have the chance to build something for themselves."
"That starts with homeownership. Owning a home must be within reach not just for executives, but for the saleswoman, the skilled tradesworker, or the nurse. With this mindset, we enter the conference and renew the promise of upward mobility that has defined our country."
