Media Invitation: Chemnitz Peace Day Press Conference

On Tuesday, February 24, at 2:00 p.m., members of the press are invited to a press conference for this year's Chemnitz Peace Day in Room 118, City Hall (Markt 1).

Sabine Kühnrich, Heike Stege, and Stephan Brenner of the Peace Day Working Group, along with Pastor Christoph Magirius—an honorary citizen of Chemnitz—and Cornelia Siegel, the city's project coordinator, will present the program for Chemnitz Peace Day on March 5. The event will be moderated by Anne Gottschalk, the city's press spokesperson.

Chemnitz Peace Day, held annually on March 5, commemorates the bombing and destruction of the city 81 years ago and honors all victims of World War II. Each year, countless residents of Chemnitz reaffirm their commitment to peace, democracy, and the rejection of far-right extremism and xenophobia.
