Drunken S-Bahn brawl in Rostock turns violent with frying pan attack
A violent brawl broke out on a Rostock S-Bahn train between a 24-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man. Both were heavily intoxicated when the altercation began as a verbal argument. The fight escalated quickly, leaving both with visible injuries.
The dispute started with a heated exchange between the two passengers. At some point, the woman grabbed a frying pan and struck the man repeatedly in the face and head. He responded by hitting her in return.
By the time authorities intervened, both had sustained facial swelling and abrasions. Blood tests later revealed the woman’s alcohol level at 2.76 per mille, while the man’s was 1.89 per mille. Police are now investigating both individuals for grievous bodily harm, assault, and insult. The severity of their intoxication and the use of an improvised weapon have raised concerns about the incident’s escalation.
The two suspects remain under investigation for their roles in the brawl. Their injuries were documented, and charges will depend on the outcome of the ongoing inquiry. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether additional witnesses came forward.
