Attack on Couple in Bremen: Two Suspects Arrested
Couple Robbed and Beaten by Tunisian Suspects in Bremen Attack
On Saturday evening, a group of young men assaulted a 35-year-old woman and her 32-year-old husband. Emergency responders detained two suspects, aged 26 and 28, from North African Maghreb countries.
The couple was walking toward the Schlachte district when the men addressed them in Arabic on Heimliche Straße. Unable to understand, the pair continued on their way. The attackers then sprayed them with pepper spray and threatened them with a knife. When the 32-year-old attempted to fend off the assault, the assailants beat him. The group fled afterward, and the victims noticed cash had been stolen.
Suspects in Custody
Authorities apprehended a 26-year-old Tunisian man and a 28-year-old alleged accomplice, also from Tunisia. Both remain in custody while investigators examine whether they are linked to similar incidents.
